I grew up in the UK and always cooked rice like in the BBC video, no-one owns a rice cooker, sadly. But they should.
Mexico loves their Guatemalan border - cheap and simple chain link fence with barbed wire - they'll do that on the US border in a month.

I live in Thailand where 100% of people wear masks. It's group-think "I'll protect other people" whereas Americans are all about 'freedom'.
I love how it's July and Americans are still debating whether to wear face masks. Maybe they'll have decided by Thanksgiving.
There were 30,000+ flu deaths/year before covid - maybe mask wearing helps with that too. Wonder what else it helps with.
This post made me wonder; what if mask wearing becomes the new normal? Like wearing underwear. We start seeing advantages and never go back.

Seriously, we all need to boycott Facebook - would do wonders for our collective mental health. Social media is like the 'tobacco' industry
