Ready or not, some day it will all come to an end. There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours or days. All the things you collected, whether treasured or forgotten, will pass to someone else. Your wealth, fame and temporal power will shrivel to irrelevance. It will not matter what you owned or what you were owed. Your grudges, resentments, frustrations and jealousies will finally disappear. So too, your hopes, ambitions, plans and to-do lists will expire. The wins and losses that once seemed so important will fade away. It won't matter where you came from or what side of the tracks you lived on at the end. It won't matter whether you were beautiful or brilliant. So what will matter? How will the value of your days be measured? What will matter is not what you bought, but what you built; not what you got, but what you gave. What will matter is not your success, but your significance. What will matter is not what you learned, but what you taught. What will matter is every act of integrity, compassion, courage or sacrifice that enriched, empowered or encouraged others to emulate your example. What will matter is not your competence, but your character. What will matter is not how many people you knew, but how many will feel a lasting loss when you're gone. What will matter is not your memories, but the memories that live in those who loved you. What will matter is how long you will be remembered, by whom and for what. .

#35 I don’t tell men to smile. I ask them how they are doing because no one gives a shit about them. I don’t tell them to smile because they are very situationally aware. I do tell them how I am doing while I smile. And usually the conversation steers to a position of perspective.

The universe is full of these moments. It is sad and unfortunate and gruesome. Tragic. Awareness and empathy are the most crucial things at this moment. Whether it is cruel or kind in its response is up to us. Asking people to be blind to these moments, to not share awareness… to intentionally choose to ignore is a form of evil. I do not choose these words lightly. I will not pluck my eyes out so I avoid the horrors. I will witness and help because a kind universe is what I want.

#31 your local radio station wants to interview you. They call you arrange a time. An hour before the appointment the station messages you and says the DJ was in an accident and can’t talk to you but can you interview yourself about yourself and how you think. Can you do it?

Find it fun. I wave to random people as I drive down the street. I’m going to get a grinch costume for Christmas. I bring in chocolate. Stickers. Dumb joke stuff. I print memes on a sticker printer. I hang out with friends sometimes especially the ones who need it. I stay at home most weekends recharging my batteries. People are amazing back to me. They tell me I’m the best, I say second best, you’re the best. Random small acts of warmth change your life. I define it under my own terms (3)

Small things weekly at work; I bought a cheap small cappuccino maker for cappuccini fridays. I buy dumb weird handy little cheap ass things off of temu for $5-6 bucks and share them pretending my co-workers ‘won’ them for dumb reasons. I play music at work and brought in a disco ball. I wear really dumb socks that people can laugh about and engage with. I got a dozen for my team for like $12 cheaper than a burger just because. I don’t do it as a bribe, I just like genuinely do it because I (2)

It’s been a few days so I will post now… I can relate to this in the past. My life now has technically changed very little but in other ways is amazingly different! A few years ago I learned the opposite or the antidote of hate is not love it’s warmth! And I decided to be the guy who just shows little acts of kindness to people. Specifically not big acts, but small ones. Big ones make people uncomfortable, small ones are safe and nice. And it has changed my life, never better. I do a bunch of(1)
