Just wrapped up a divorce that started before the election. My ex was abusive and manipulative and while trying to work through stuff in my journal I wrote that Trump was America's abusive husband. It was (and still is) just wild to see the country that I live in almost literally doing the same thing I have done so many times before in my own life.
I cannot stress enough how brilliant this is. When I left my ex husband my debit card was in the pocket of the skirt I wore the day before and in the hamper. I left with absolutely nothing, nowhere to go, and no way to pay for anything or identify myself. If I would have grabbed the hamper it would have made that first 48 hours so much easier. Long story short, take the hamper. And maybe check your pockets.
For some reason I always thought of the heart as like another meat glob like a liver or kidney. This kinda blows my mind a little. Very cool.
One of my neighbors had a gayest place in town doormat. I was so sad when they moved. Definitely the best doormat in my building by a longshot.
This is absolutely fucking terrifying.
I know fuck all about this but it me it looks like general and good are swapped.

I used to have a corgi who was the living embodiment of sass. She would grumble bark at me all the time and i would pretend like she was telling me about how she wanted to run for office. *grumblewoof* "Well ma'am, I can see that you have a lot of ambition, but I feel like your foreign policy leaves a lot to be desired." I miss that dog. She would make a fantastic president.

This is something ive been thinking about a lot. Not everyone is suited to go full Rambo. I'm not a tank, I'm a healer and support... so I'm going to look for ways that I can take care of the people that I can, that i stand up for what is right when I see injustices happening, and do my best in my own environment to clog the wheels of fascism. I'm terrified of what the next few years will bring, but we're all gonna have to find our own ways to fight.
