The easiest thing that makes a big difference is paying attention to your framing. Slicing off random bits can make pictures seem off, if you can't (or don't want to) capture the whole subject, be very intentional with where the edges cut off.

That's not true. California mandates lunch and rest breaks based on hours worked. So does Oregon. New York too. Feel free to Google other states, those were the first three that popped into my head.
