I'd be curious to see some data on counties that have implemented this- have they increased graduation rates, state testing, etc.
Yeah, I had a job at 14 too for the same reason. But 14 is the legal minimum age, with only some exceptions.
I look at it like this, the fact that 11 and 13 year old children are looking for jobs in the first place is an indicator of how fked our economy is. Kids should be kids, not adults.
