I'm really interested in that discord to coordinate potentially contributing if I can. What's the tech stack going to be like?

How can they all be cats? That one is clearly a bunny.

Circumstances may differ, but it can be difficult for a pet to tell the difference between a common object you left out specifically for them, and an identical object that just happens to be left somewhere they can reach. Part of the training is teaching what the rules are and the temporal action is easy to teach.

#4 She would try to make it look like an accident, but it would be incredibly obvious to everyone else and be an example nonetheless.

Did this really get sent on a Saturday night giving you until Monday to respond?

As a follow-up, how am I supposed to say it if I don't mean to hit on someone?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That seems like something completely different to me though. Like I said, maybe that's the way I process social interactions, but nothing about, "Do you want to talk when you aren't working?" seems like it's hitting on someone.

It really feels to me there's subtext being added to these situations that makes things unnecessarily difficult. For example I, personally, am happily in a relationship and it would never occur to me that saying that would even come off as hitting on someone.

Maybe I'm too neurodivergent/direct for this sort of thing, but why not just ask, "Hey, would you want to talk outside of work?"

#34 The worst part is when you start looking for where your tea is and you find the kettle with half the water boiled away.

Get yourself a kettle that can turn itself off, my ADHD brethren.

#42 It's a Joro spider. It's a type of orb weaver, but not the kind you typically see. It's an invasive species to the East Coast of the US that can be like 4 inches long.

#21 I'm a fan of, "Can you describe how you plan to do that?" Usually weeds out ridiculous asks or turns them into plausible ones.

I see. I'm not sure about that part of the comment in particular. I don't know specifically about Nord VPN, but in general it is a lot of trust to put in your provider. If Nord VPN can be independently verified that's good and better than many.

VPNs don't have to be "in on it" for other companies to continue tracking you.

It's not really an accusation, it's just not how VPNs work. They can make it so you appear to be connecting in a different way, but that isn't the only way your data is tracked online. If you log in to an account or fit the profile they've built of you you're still being tracked and that happens regardless of which computer or connection you use.

The John Dee translation or the Kitab al-Azif?

This has been my experience as well. It can be hard to get better and also be burdened by thoughts like, "I'm getting better, so why am I so sad, and why is that making my life so difficult?"
