Yeah, my wife and I are working on getting our yard filled with native plants, including the grass. Lots of people around us have horrible sod yards that they fertilize and manicure. We're going for a natural yard. And we have no HOA so they can suck on it.
Growing up in the 80s, I remember seeing fireflies every night throughout the spring, summer and sometimes into the fall. Now I see a handful every few years. It makes me sad.

Tranquilizers can be quite dangerous for an animal. Especially when in a weakened and agitated state. Using strong drugs to sedate this bear could have been just as damaging to it's health as a bullet at this point. I'm no expert on drugs or bears though. In fact, I know the bare minimum. I'll see myself out.
