I agree but nevertheless one can certainly see that the rest of Disney was content to pander to their hearts content like a McDonald's franchisee that hires a Michelin Chef and fucks everything up because the chef takes every burger seriously and they were content to just mail in panderburgers all day long. But part of me thinks so long as talk of revolution stays in a galaxy far, far away corporatism are happiest.
One can make the argument that anything Disney as pandering first. The certainty in their idea of narrative control, of course they're pandering to the LGBTQIA+ community, there's money to be made in them thar' rainbows, and the unlikely notion it will change hearts. Watch Andor, and realize maybe they think they can pander to the idea of revolution, conservatives so certain that it can't lead to what is exactly portrayed, which compels me to take the message as presented with a grain of salt.
45,600-66000 people receiving 300,000 dollars in taxpayer cost over just 3 months per-person. That's what that public funding could be used for. The only problem here is that instead of benefiting those people, getting their paperwork squared, or getting them deported or getting them into a conventional prison, at 50k per year, or rehabilitated into drug rehab, or deported, or rehabilitated to a job that earns revenue - this is a scam that can die fast.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

IDK Part of me sees that really as Alex's Best Destiny - some people deeply know what they really want to do in live - so if you're the sort of dude in the greater Houston area that enjoys a bear of a guy chowing down on your tail , than it sounds like Alex is just your kind of guy. Most people aren't usually that public about it though.
He IS a murderer - negligent/indifferent murder of hundreds of thousands of Ivermectin and hydrochloroquine drinking people died un-necessasrily.
It's odd , I don't domesticate bonding animals , but once upon a time I did, I still find the game a bit ridiculous given the violence inflicted on your hapless colonists, the only luck in the universe is whatever you can make for them.
Maybe someone should write a book from the perspective of Dapple and Rocinante.
I actually did have occasion to harvest a couple of lungs and a kidney or two on this run, but like most things, once everything got what they needed we don't advertise the talents of our colony's surgery practices.
