The main thing I like about the engine is how easy it is to prototype things in, granted I'm not very experienced in UE4.
Yes, my point was that in order to write in C++ you would need to have source-level access. (Unless I'm totally wrong)
As someone that loves Unity, unless you have a source license to Unity, no. UE4 is inherently more powerful because C++.
