That’s the deal you make with insanity pleas- you get out of the jail, but you do mental health treatment per the court order until the court is satisfied. Which is fair- if you’re insane enough to do it once, you need to be treated to protect others. Often the insanity plea will be a linger term, cuz what doctor is gonna certify you as not a threat anymore?

Because to JUST treat the ectopic pregnancy would be an abortion. So their standard of care is to remove whole working healthy bits of women, just cuz that’s where the ectopic is. Because then it’s not an abortion in their eyes. Just a removal and whoops it also removed this ectopic bit.
Also yes, docs such as ER docs are behilden to the law to provide stabilizing treatment. Which is not full treatment, but it has to be to a specific standard of care.This lets a doctor nope out of standards of care. And just kinda make up their own.Which is already allowed in a small case for Catholic hospitals, but is concerning in any case.
It keeps hospitals and medical practices from firing the doctor who refuses to touch a gay person. Or a Jew. Or perform a life-saving abortion procedure.The hospital has to allow the doc to not do it, provide an alternative (or not actually) and not save money by just hiring a different doc who will treat anyone.Kinda like the law allowing pharmacists to refuse to give out BC actually did mean that many women lost their access, because what if there is no second pharmacist on shift?

Cleaning is hard without water, without laundry facilities for rags, without cleaning supplies. And without food to keep you energized- sailors are twlking about having lost 30 lbs in 4 months from straight up hunger.
