"The most exciting phrase to hear in science, the one that heralds new discoveries, is not “Eureka” but “That’s funny...”" —Isaac Asimov (1920–1992) If anybody's reading this, I'm taking 2025 off. Might be back, don't count on it. Peace out. - Mega

Isn't this just the premise for Kill Bill?

1950s sci-fi authors would be apalled that the entire planet doesn't run on nuclear power.

I'm taking this at face value. He really thinks that *some* of Trump's ideas have merit, and wants to reach across the aisle and accomplish something good here and there. This is a test to see if that'll work.

Thanks, I was worried about that.

Oh my god, yes. Green's giant forts, Blue's insane tunnel networks. Good times.

There's something my inner scientist really likes about this. 1. Here's a man with a deeply held belief. 2. He tested this belief with an experiment, which *failed* (Earth wasn't flat). 3. He updates his belief system to match the results. This is what science is about.

I'm guessing the last 20 seconds of a Love, Death, and Robots episode.

This is so great I forgot what the hell the Original Post was about.

In a nearby alternate universe they never got Sailor Moon or Evangelion. They got this anime.

Very true, and I can't guarantee this is AI. All I'm doing is laying out the things that led me to ~believe~ it's AI.

1. The cupcakes give it away... see how they're all the same?
2. The hand's a bit vague, and the ruler/plans are very sketched out compared to everything else.
3. Finally (and this was my first clue) the quality is just a little too high for the subject material. It would take many hours for a human artist to make a fully colored character with a background like this, real fan art for this comic would probably be a line drawing or maybe something with simple coloring.

Can we get a better slogan though? "Medicare for all" sounds about as exciting as a tax return.

Can't blame them, they probably needed the $50,000 to pay a hospital bill.
