We use thick rubber matting and have the coaches try to get people to moderate throw speeds
Nah, working there, the axes very rarely bounce back that far and then it's cause you threw way too hard

I used to work at a place like this and those rubber handled estwings are the easiest to throw and they only bounce back to the thrower(1/2)
A koivid pond perhaps?

Or just join a venture crew. Same organization, coed, and focuses on the adventure parts.
