So, a yam is a tiny potato, meaning a miniyam, is a tiny tiny potato... and I control them all.

I'm not sure if you're speaking from experience of the account, or maybe i'm misreading your comment, but i feel like you're saying that like they're a conservative, when they're just insulting conservative views.

It's just a gif? they probably just googled for the gif they were thinking. Imgur didn't fully convert it, but it shows on hover on browser.

I do want to make sure we're talking about the same thing, I'm not talking about the white bit in her hair, im talking about below her hair, the straight line object along her back. Maybe it's fabric, but you're just straight up wrong to say it definitely isn't the stick. I's where you would put a stick if you needed your hands, it's how the stick would lie, it's rigid when she bends over, it could easily be one. It could easily be something else too, but it's stupid to claim you know.

I'm not them, but yes, when i watched the video i assumed the thing on what is essentially her right hip, barely visible on your screenshot along her back, was the stick. It's also worth mentioning there was just a jump-cut so she may just not have had the stick and this could still be real. one of the most annoying part of ai video thing is that the "nothing ever happens" crowd is going to be unbearable.

Yea, that was more generally. This applies to anyone naturally in positions of power, they just have to be paid well.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not to mention, there's a lot of general reasons that people in power just kind of have to be paid well. First and foremost, you really don't want to incentivize a councilor to have to make deals and take endorsement money to survive. Obviously you want laws in place to prevent them from taking solid money and the deals, but if someone like a councilor is in a position where they Need money, there's a lot of leverage for others to use that vulnerability.

At the beginning yea, but you ended by excluding war, saying it was greed, I disagree. I think there are a lot of reasons, and some of them, can, and have been, relligious in nature. Maybe, some of it, for some of the wars, at the highest levels of decision making, were using religion as the cover for other motives, but it's a very effective smoke screen, because you get to say, kill them, but they're an infidel, a pagan, a saracen, so it's ok.

And we're back on seperate sides, you can't say you don't know what drives someone in one respect, and then say you know what drives someone in another. Whether you like it or not, there are people who take religion seriously to make war about it.

conversation, anyone who tells you that religion has stifled humans advancement ignores the fact that some of histories largest advancements were made by people who were (in varying faiths) devoutly religious. That includes advancements in the arts, philosophy and even the sciences. The same faith that leads people to draw blood for a cause, also can also give people the single minded focus needed to change a field. Just a thought because I know it was someone else's argument against you. 2/2

Late to the reply, but no, I don't think it matters, like I said, i think giving people a reason for faith, hope, direction, isn't a bad thing. I just also think it can be abused, and I also think it unfortunately is a lot right now. As far as the faith in government and economy, i agree, i joked a bit earlier in the chain to that effect, quite frankly I don't think that's great either, and another place where that faith is definitely being abused. One note I was thinking about from this,

I agree though, my personal preaching is that I think the moment we don't have faith in other people, we have nothing left, so I absolutely think there's faith, but again, usually it's faith in something you can see, something you can touch. Faith in something that can objectively fail you, faith in something that can objectively help you. To address your other comment, humans are better at nothing than putting other humans into buckets. 2/2

Well, I think some people treat the economy a bit like religion these days, but as far as directly like the pay you one, there's a bit more direct cause and effect there. There's a logic to 'i do this, so i get to eat tomorrow'. If someone says do this because I'll give that duck a cracker, there's no incentive for me to do it, so i won't do it. Now on the relgious front, do this because god said so, there's both no logical reason for me to do it, and people will do it, because of faith. 1/

no, of course not, it's been going on through most of humanity, and arguably at humanities least religious phase, we're close than we've ever been to ending the world (thought that's largely just due to how small the worlds gotten w/ technology), but I do think all major religions need to do a lot better policing their own, and stay the hell out of any secular countries government. 2/2

My response to both of those is similar, sure, I agree in part, but religion is also a very easy way to turn "do what I want because I said so", into "do what I want because god said so". That's the argument you're having here. Religion is about faith, not logic, by definition. So it puts people who are willing to abuse that faith in a far better spot to leverage it. I also think that your point about conversion ignores a lot of skepticism, and fear. Do i think religion is the end or anything 1/

those in charge, and how it's used, can just as easily be evil, as good. 3/3

the conflict between israel and palestine has a lot of factors, but it was certainly helped along by the fact that there was suddenly conflict around who owned the "holy land". Again, many other reasons, and it's strayed farther recently, but there's a reason that fervor is associated with relgion. I think there are plenty of reasons relgion can be a good thing, giving people a reason to be good is good, giving people who need it a source of faith and hope is good, but like many other things 2/3

I'm not them, and they're going a bit far, but "Incident of violence where religion was used as an excuse" like, a lot of human history. The crusades was a multi-century example but if we want to leave christianity, like a lot. Like, most of the large events in pre-modern history, are entirely, or influenced by, the active major religion. And your right, religion isn't the only reason, and in the same way other reasons can make them stop, but to use a modern example in what you're saying, 1/2

chance to represent their country in the prime of their career, in the one way they can. Instead you go into the mouth of evil, and you kick the ever loving crap out of everyone to come out on top, bringing your country along with it. 2/2

Listen, I agree with you, Fifa is disgusting, but the sport is akin to religion to a lot of people. Even ignoring that, because Im sure many would dismiss it entirely, the players didn't ask for any of this, they just busted ass their entire lives to get the opportunity. It's like the olympics, it's really easy for a watcher, particularly one who didn't have much interest to begin with, to say they should boycott, harder for someone who's dreamed of this moment from youth, to give up their 1/2

Rockefeller Jr is also touted as a large philanthropist, he's also held responsibility for one of the most anti-worker slaughters of all time. Bill gates is famously a philanthropist, take a look back through his time as CEO. I don't know Rockefeller sr stories, though I'm curious to look now, but unless he's the outlier of outliers you don't make money at that much of a faster rate than everyone else without being ruthless to the point of being or being near sociopathic.

I feel like they weaponized apathy, distraction, and burnout more than the police. That really implies they put trust in the police which i have my doubts. To not go after them sure, money does that, but to protect them? not so much. It feels more like to me there's a sweet spot between able to commit time to things other than survival (like directing energy to making society better) and it being so bad that there's just no other option than a change in status quo, and that's where we sit.

I put it in the same bucket as avatar, the visuals and audio are phenomenal, and if the story is lacking, well that's not why I watched it anyway. I say this as someone who watched it for the first time 2 or 3 weeks ago. I don't say movies with a great story and terrible visuals are bad either, i watch different movies for different things. It was fine, good even. Definitely overhyped though. No were near his best movie, nor a near a top 50 moviess list.

Now you see that confuses me, people do not generally support Nazi Germany and Israel at the same time... you've used mate more than a few times and we've been speaking while i was on call through the middle of the night my time which led me to start to think you weren't from the US at all... so I guess, since we're most of the way there, would you be willing to say what you want to commit war, conquest, and bloodshed against?

Ignore that 'had'. Rewrote the sentence, forgot to remove.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

OK, there were a few other groups through history who... had could follow that same description. Are we willing to provide more clarity on "what needs to be done" means?

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wooooah, not the direction I was expecting, straight zionist or just inspired by?

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So to be clear, because there's a still a bit of ambiguity there. What are you saying the west failed to conservative? Because i can read that as being a centrist that hates both parties (any number of 10 different parties fit, very doom/gloom Nietzsche stuff), but i could also see that as a few different takes of being farther right than the conservative right depending on what groups/actions you disapprove of. Pretty much everything from christian fundamentalist, to maga, to... much farther
