I agree. The latest iteration of The Stand was good enough to get me to dive into the Audiobook, (which is amazing). However, having enjoyed the book showed me more of the shortcomings of the series. Although Alexander was not one of them. Spot on Flagg. I'm aware of The Dark Tower books, but don't know the story. Mr. Skarsgard would be a solid choice for any of the roles, I'm sure.
