Taste is taste and mostly its a matter of confidence. Technically you wouldn‘t combine pattern with pattern. So black or white shirt or tie with no pattern. But again, thtas a rule of thumb if you are totally lost, nothing wrong if you dig it. Don‘t let haters hate.

I like the idea, backgrounds are good. The ones with just perfect dots are a litzle bit to clean for me, you may experiment keeping the dots and adding just a litzle bit of surrounding details/lights. Another idea: raindrops on the screen?
