I don't think I could do it. I mean, I might try for a million dollars, but even 1-2 a day would be hard for me. Alcohol makes me so sick. I haven't had any in years because even a tiny amount of wine in seltzer and I was feeling pretty bad the next day :(

Hashimoto's sucks, but It's not the worst. Out of all my chronic illnesses, it's the least bad by far. A couple of extra blood tests, taking a pill in the middle of the night, and seeing my endocrinologist twice a year is kind of the extent I even think about it.

I got sterilized when Trump was elected because I knew Roe was in danger. I don't think I would have otherwise, but I'm very glad I did.

At first I skimmed the first sentence as meaning children crossing the border need to get their shots (vaccines) and I thought, yeah, sure, if they don't have their records with them it probably won't hurt, even if redundant and that could help prevent another measles outbreaks. Then I re-read that.... oh no...

For vaccines, I bring an ice pack with me, numb my arm for 15-20 seconds and then look away. My heart is still racing like crazy, but it makes it so I don't feel the needle at all. Getting all these covid boosters has helped me perfect my system, but I still opted for the nasal flu vaccine last year though.

I think some are just afraid of needles. When I was a little kid I swore I'd never get shots as an adult since no one could make me. Luckily I grew up, learned the science and get all my vaccines, including all the covid boosters.

I was an 11 year old girl in 1996, I've heard this song a million times but how have I never seen this? Not at all what I expected.

Ugh, just local! That's horrifying! The scary part for me was having to have the other eye done 1 week later. I told the anesthesiologist about it and he made sure I was out for that one. I didn't feel pain, just tugging which was upsetting.

Me too! and this hits home for me because I woke up (regained awareness) during my first cataract surgery :( Luckily it was more disturbing than painful

#1 I play so much solitaire. Like SO much. I'm not proud of it, but I'm in my 40s and neither me nor my computer could probably handle learning one of those fancy new fangled games at this point :(

I was 16, in high school in NJ. At lunch so many kids were trying to use either the single pay phone or one of the few cell phones (which weren't really working) to get in touch with their parents who worked in the city.

I'm sorry you've had problems! I kept my name when I got married and it has never been an issue at all. At first a couple people assumed I changed it, so I corrected them and haven't been called the wrong name in years.

I suspect that in the absence of social pressure, a good number of people naturally would choose not to have kids. I suspect we'd have better outcomes if folks did a bunch more introspection and informed decision making before having kids.

Conscious/twilight sedation is pretty safe, it's a whole different thing than general anesthesia

I get those burst blood vessels in my eyes all the time, they look bad but are harmless and usually don't even hurt.
