Birdo used to be super scared of hands, she wouldn't go near me. After a couple months of work she realized they're okay.
Rescued birbs are great, I have one. (Birdo the cockatiel) They're a lot of work and you may not get the cute cuddly birb that you want. 1/2

Food, patience though a lot of head scratches. She likes head scratches more than food so it depends on the bird. Plus, 1/2

They have heated perches/ and blocks now, my cockatiel loves them. Iris prefers to snuggle up in my hair.
She actually doesn't get startled all that much surprisingly and when she does, she tries to fly. Then she poops after.
Surprisingly shes not really interested in the keys, my cockatiel Birdo is however.
She loves being cradled too haha! She works hard on keeping those feathers all nice for everyone. C:

Not much considering the back of the monitor doesnt pop out, plus its pinned with napkins for easy cleanup.

They hold in their poop when they sleep, plus shes trained not to poop on it but instead a napkin off to the side.
