What did oyu back the ends with since the snakeskin doesn't cover that far?
Go ahead and get some anyway as a preventative. I've found it to be the longest-lasting deterrent so far. Sounds like you have a plan tho!
Boric acid. Sprinkle it in corners, under sinks, anywhere remotely damp or that will have food. Helps get rid of and prevent roaches.
