I'll give you Rey as a shoehorned Messiah but there was no Finn/Rose romance. She kissed him in infatuation...there was no mutual interest.

I couldn't agree more. The first reboot was great and gave my high hopes. Rise disappointed, but I start Shadow tonight. Here's hoping.
