I find that it's very important to separate Israel from Jewish people. Jewish people are an international community of people that has suffered greatly because of racism and religious persecution for hundreds of years. Israel is a nation that is committing genocide and using historical persecution as a shield/justification for their crimes against humanity. Israel's goal is to make 'Israel' synonymous with 'Jews'. If 'Israel' means 'Jews' then any criticism of Israel can be labeled racism.

It honestly really pisses me off, because its a modern example of corporations changing our speech. Young people now say 'yatzhee' and 'unaliving', because companies don't want them to say 'nazi' and 'kill', because it offends advertisers.
Rather than just downvote. A big environmental reason to keep cats inside is so they don't kill wild birds. Cats are, in a way, an invasive species to America. Stray cats are devastating to native and migratory bird populations

I'll put my neck out a bit here. My wife has been using betterhelp for a few months and it's worked alright for her. They've connected her with a therapist that she's getting along with and her emotional state has improved somewhat over the course of it. For folks that have anxiety about meeting strange people in a strange place, it can be an option. They are a bit expensive though, but I don't know what the going rate for therapy is. Not saying it's for everybody.
Here's the last thing I'll say, then I'm done engaging in this silliness. If I wanted to program a russian bot that would spread hate amongst the left and fracture it into factions that wouldn't work with each other, they would behave exactly the way you are. So if you're a bot, fuck off. If you're a real person, learn to do better. You're the fascist's favorite kind of ally.
I want you to know that it's comments like yours that push people away from the left. Somebody becomes curious about starting to fix the problems of the world, and thinks about maybe becoming an activist of some kind. Then they run into a stream of hatred like yours because they didn't pass your purity test. And it turns them off from helping. It looks like you're trying to help make the world better, but before you can succeed you need to learn to leave your hatred at the door.

The infighting amongst the left over 'precise wording' will forever keep us down. We are as crabs in a bucket, while the fascists prepares the pot of boiling water.
FDR came about as a result of the gilded age and great depression. If Trump takes enough rope, he'll eventually hang his whole movement and get us there. We do need lots of effort to push the country to the left though. It won't happen on its own. And I don't think the country is there yet. Too many Americans think they're "doing their part" by eating the ends of a loaf of bread before they throw it away. Americans think they're poor and desparate, but most people have no idea what that means.
