I'll check out North Rd. I read both Pandora and Judas and wow those are wild, out there reads that force your imagination into overdrive.
Netflix did a show on the first book, but I would highly recommend reading them as the show is fun, but books are way better.
It's a bit different genre but fits along the cop/mystery/adventure line you should check out Altered Carbon. Very fun and engaging books.

I really liked Poppy War too, and I planned on going right into book 2 but found I was drawn elsewhere. Maybe one day I will return to it.

Yea, that comparison is a bit much. Dune imo is untouchable. But it's a great book worth the read.
