Generally the gen 1er's are the people who never played anything more than the first pokemon or never played at all, but sure 1/2
Have you ever seen the first episode of Pokemon? They show Ho-oh a 2nd gen Pokemon. They had a lot already planned out.
Well then I feel bad for you to never been able to enjoy the entirety of the Pokemon world, you're only limiting yourself to 1/5 of the fun
Odds are though, knowing Nintendo they only let them have the original 151 Pokémon and anything after will have to renegotiate.
