I have a theory that some people think foods that look similar are interchangeable. In this case, pepsi and soy sauce, and I've seen somebody substituting heavy cream for mayonnaise.
We do have amazing food in the UK, but so many people really do eat some awful sfuff. My dad was Italian who loved Mexican food, and my mum spent time travelling around India when she was young, so I was brought up in freaking flavour town, but so many of my friends consider roast dinner to be the absolute best meal on the planet. Like, unseasoned meat and boiled vegetables apparently can't be beat. "Let's spice it up a bit, add some bread sauce". Mmm... fucking wet bread.
That's nothing. My car completely locks you out of the trunk when the battery dies (even the manual key won't work). Guess where the battery is. And no, the back seats don't fold down.
I once dated a girl whose brother's middle name was Hurricane because he was born during that very storm.
Yeah I'm only on 3-4mg and the only thing I get is feeling slightly groggy for 10 mins after I wake up. Some people are on like 20mg though, so maybe that's what does it.
#20 The only time I've objected to a woman's outfit at work was when a lady came into the office wearing leather hotpants and fluffy leopard print slippers, but that was more because I was pissed off that I had to wear a suit and she could get away with that.Boobs is nothing. Let people have boobs I say.
I wanna say this was at T in the Park in 96. I've still got a bootleg recording of it somewhere.
This is exactly my take, hence the title of the post. I'm utterly confused by all the people thinking OP suggested he was improvising...?
The most unintentionally funny thing my mum ever said was "I don't like Djokovic. His eyes are too close together and he looks like a war criminal"
I'm doing OK, thank you. As I said in another comment, selling my childhood home last month was really tough but after everything else, it felt like it represented a new beginning for me. Just gotta keep going.
That's rough. I was at least able to do some grieving over my dad before my mum went, so I can't imagine how absolutely battered and bruised you must've felt. I did have support though, as there are lots of amazing people in my life, just not at work.
Oh trust me, it's been added to my very long list of grievances for when I finally leave.
That's incredibly sweet of you, but I'm doing OK now. My family and friends have been amazing, and they've helped me get through it all. Selling my dad's house (and my childhood home) last month hit pretty hard, but it feels like a natural end point to it all. I'm just trying to focus on the future now.
My colleague lost her mum to cancer last year. Horribly sad, but the team were all rallying round her, sending her flowers, constantly checking up on her. All very lovely. I (a man) lost both my parents to cancer in the space of a few months this year, and all I got were lots of very serious conversations about how much time I was allowed off for funerals and questions about why I wasn't coming to the office more. It sucked.
THIS WAS A GOOD FLAG JOKE
Ditto people with mobility issues. Just getting the trolley back to their car might've been their limit that day. Other than that, the theory is tight.
This bugs me too. The original "Mc-something-face" was an owl in some nature reserve called Hootie McOwlface. It should be: something it does>Mc>something it is>face. So e.g. Boaty McBoatface should be Floaty McBoatface
You mean the Judean People's Front
I watched a video on how to replace the hood release on my 1997 Mercedes, and now I get 4 or 5 notifications a day for high end car tuner videos. I even told the app I don't like them and it *increased* the rate of notifications.
AFAIK he's actually posted this himself since it became a meme, so he's clearly not that bothered by it. Also, just in case anyone is lacking context from my comment: fuck Musk and everything about him.
(I'm sorry, I had to do that. It sounds like "ledding")
It's leading
I'm gonna go with Duncan Jones, David Bowie's son.
Literally my first thought!

This is my theory. I can point my phone at my cat without a problem, but as soon as I open the camera app he'll turn away. Same with my friend's dog. Although it's stopped happening since I switched from Samsung to a Pixel. My cat will happily pose for all my pics now. Same with my GF's iPhone.
I recently got a really good set of knives as an engagement gift, and the first thing I did was cut up a really baggy tomato. It was glorious.
"...death, death, death, afternoon tea, death…quick shower…"
