There is one good reason why this is *sometimes* done. Many manufacturers have what is called a MAP policy. "Minimum Advertised Price". Call for pricing is sometimes used when a retailer wants to sell it for less but is prohibited from advertising it at the price they want to sell it for.When you see something listed for the exact same price at every seller it's often because that is the MAP price.
