Long live the King!

I was there two years ago, and leaving was the best decision I've made. I took my time and really got clear on my reasons for leaving and what I wanted instead. That made choosing the right next role much easier. It's ok if the next role isn't forever too - you will always have options! The mental headspace freed up from handing in my resignation allowed me to work on who I was and where I wanted to go. Give yourself the time and space to do that.

Trainer even once a month to give you a plan and some accountability. Well done for keeping at it, it's not easy!

It takes time and patience. I'm 18 months in and what worked for me was getting a personal trainer - I needed the external accountability 1/

It's hard to see the light sometimes, but it's there. It's a choice, even if it doesn't feel that way

It takes practice, but it's really effective. I read Positive Intelligence by Shirzad Chamine which deals exactly with this too, great book.

Something that really helped me was meditating. Being able to see thoughts and feelings, label them without judgement, and then let them go.

Yep. I get seasick on canoes. I was seasick the entire time I travelled between the Galapagos Islands. I missed whales because of it.

I used to travel pre-Covid to London two or three times a month. Right in the nostalgia.

So we think it's stress related, and we try to mitigate when out by quiet locations, distractions etc. But I would like her not to be stress

Everything - cars, birds in the garden, cyclists, loud noises etc. When we adopted her the centre described her as "a vocal wee lady" lmao.

Thanks - I think it's more than that, in that our other dog doesn't react and they get walked together. Honey is highly reactive to everythi

Always possible. We distract with treats (very food motivated) but it's not super effective. Any tips?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Issue to control her but she's obviously stressed about it so I want to help her. We walk quiet places and try and avoid others but it's not

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

On a lead. If off lead she's OK, largely disinterested, but obviously out and about I can't let her off. She's tiny so largely it's not a
