@op: To answer your question”points required to get to FP” question: it’s been a floating number for a long time. From observation (read: I can’t prove this, but it seems right) post chosen for the FP are scored based on “how many points did you earn”, “how fast did you earn them”, and “how does your post rank to similarly-performing posts”. The algorithm seems to aim to place a certain number of posts on the front page per hour, but this isn’t a hard and fast rule (based on fybd observations).
I mean, the sign says “I SUPPORT PALESTINE ACTION”. I’m not saying that it should be an arrest-able offense, but it was right there.
