it's called commander and with some friends to play with its awsome, I have gameplay of it on my channel but it's not really geared for-

yup I was away from it for ~10y, there has been a lot of changes and improvement and probably the most common way to play is now multiplayer

if you have also been away from the game for a bit too it's called hybrid mana and eatch pip can be paid for with either colour
