This is a category error, hence the comment about apples and dark matter. Everyone knows about religions- im not aware of any culture without some traditions around what they consider divine. So atheism doesnt exist in a vacuum. It exists in a world where the majority of people are theist and EVERYONE is aware of religion. You're here arguing on the Internet that you don't have a religious position but by rejecting the existence of god(s) youre de-facto rejection religion and that is a position
And you think that the logical fallacy above makes sense. It compares the knowledge of physical things with beliefs and tries to make a point, but fails because of a category error. Comparing apples to dark matter doesnt make any sense. It's like saying that scientists who believe string theory over dark matter to explain observed phenomena don't have a position on whether dark matter is real.
Atheist is the opposite of Theist. A Thiesf believes in the existence of god(s). An Atheist believes that god(s) do not exist (or doss not believe that god(s) exist). Having no definite position is actually neither. Yiu can be either Gnostic or Agnostic either way - it just means that you think its possible to know for sure or not.This is all entirely pedantry, by the way, and should not be taken seriously
Well, my reasoning for calling atheism a religious position is agnostic reasoning. But it remains true that an atheist has a definite position on the existence of gods - that they don't exist.
To be pedantic, atheism is a belief because the existence of the divine is not provable and is thus not disprovable. It takes an explicit position on the existence of the divine - that there are no gods. That said it's both the rational position and the one supported by the (lack of) evidence
Google are building out their data centres so they can provision the ~450 billion backlog they have for cloud services. That does include AI, but it also includes a.lot more than AI and they need to expand to meet actual demand rather than vapour (unlike, say, meta).
