I identify as Aramaic from Germany.the Aramaic dialect that we speak is far from the Aramaic that Jesus spoke. I only understood fragments of the movie "The Passion of Christ".I can only read a little bit Aramaic which has its own alphabet but I do not read or write it fluently neither is there any literature besides the church liturgy that is being written in Aramaic (as far as I know).
