Maintenance is actually the biggest issue with “affordable” housing. Cities and developers are willing to spend money to build them, but as soon as the maintenance bills roll in 5-10 years later, they quietly walk away and allow them to rot, which leaves everyone worse off than when they started and adds fuel to the fire of people who say affordable housing is pointless.
I love Infinity and their universe but man, I do not have the spare brainpower anymore to play that game. Too many rules and too many interactions in a 300pt match to keep track of.

I feel like that falls into the category of helping me feel ok about eating a venison burger at a restaurant; but I wouldn’t want to buy a whole animal of it and slowly consume the entire edible weight
I bought my current house and there was a literal live wire, exposed, just stuffed into a wall through a small hole in the drywall. Didn’t realize until we tore out the kitchen to rebuild it and found the wire behind a cabinet.That was fun

I cared deeply about my parents when I went to college, but I was bombarded by so many new social situations, stressful experiences, and bad sleep nights that I often didn’t have the emotional energy to talk to them… let alone unpack everything I was going through.I’m deeply grateful they were there and wanting to connect with me. Not being able to wasn’t a lack of desire, it was complete shutdown of non-essential (I.e. stay alive) functions.It’ll be ok. Be there for them when they’re ready
