No, I was using the Olympics as an example of where weightlifters could compete at. There are weightlifting events all over.
While the other lifter is doing it in hopes for it to improve the sport their conditioning for.
Yes the weight will increase for both participants but the Olympic lifters sole purpose is to have the heaviest lift to win.
They just want to get stronger and those compound movements can help with the sport.
Not Olympic Weightlifting. When people do the same types of lifts for condition they aren't trying to see how heavy they can get. 1/2
Probably because it's widely considered as a sport, and I've never heard that a sport had to be interactive. But it is what it is.
