The French designer Eric Chahi used vector animation and rotoscoping along with a custom game engine that he developed to achieve such smooth graphics.. Technologically the game was out of this world... pun intended. ๐

Agreed. What amazed me was they were able to cram that story with the and audio onto a single floppy disk.
