But... You can hear the pixels, can't you? They're obviously in pain.. Is it safe to zoom in more?

I shopped it from an image pulled off Google. Made a few on-the-fly modifications while carving, but I'll revise and publish it asap.

with a minimum of three different size gouges and a flat chisel. CFL bulb on a cable for lighting, and that's it!
I use a thumbtack to transfer the pattern, followed by a hobby knife (x-acto #11 blade), and a simple, inexpensive wood chisel set (1/2)

Sticking a 23watt CFL in there. There are always, heh, creative options ;-D (7/7?)
Though, if you're using a particularly strong light source, that becomes less of an issue. I ended up carving out the bottom and (6/ffs)
And smooth AF. Cleaning up little strings afterwards isn't difficult, but trying to attain the right thickness post-carve can be! (5/5..)
Mm, also, I cannot stress enough the importance of preparing the inner wall *well*. It should be no more than 1/2" in depth (4/?)
With a flat chisel. Mind you, these tools don't have to be expensive. I used a cheap set from a craft shop!
I used a curved gouge for alot of the facial details. Afterwards, I abraded anything that I wanted to look like nontextured flesh, 2/3
For the majority, I used an exacto knife. If you zoom on the hair, that's how most of it looked, at first; carved out in slices. 1/2
Ha! Those aren't insults! :-D google the terms. The nails are, in fact, spooky. One may say, too spooky.
