The outcome of the vote having an impact is different from what they supported and were vocal about. It was relatively safe to be against Brexit, they could voice their opinion without it having an impact. That's an actual factual reference that I like. But I do have to say that I don't think it's necessary to mention things like Mein Kampf when you actually have a valid argument to begin with. In my opinion it decreases the value of what you're trying to say.
While it sounds nice I think you're overstating how much influence he has compared to the risk it might cost him. Which is also why not that many popular artists actually speak out.
It's way easier to support something that actually has the backing of the people in a country or that like the stand on Brexit doesn't have any impact on your shows or income. The problem is that Israel has way more power and influence in the US and still enjoys a large backing by the the people.
