This is why you can't be just left or right. Government grocery stores is a terrible idea. They still have to buy everything from private and won't be more efficient, nor have cheaper prices. They're better off freeing up more dollars for poor people (like subsidies or less taxes). Blanket banning data centers is another terrible idea. These are jobs they're blocking too. Set the requirements and let them build, whether req's are funding the subsidiesor building parks, don't care.
Over half a trillion dollars in the last twenty years have been given to first Nations. That doesn't account for all the funding they get for make believe positions with private companies. Over 30 billion a year, for a million people, and again, didn't take into account benefits, like tax free income, or infra that goes into supporting communities (which is fine, we support the rest of Canadians, but if not included there). Chiefs have a lot to answer to for that money.
