I could be wrong, but I believe this era to be the origin of the dystopian, sanitized look that we have in stores these days.

I love his work so much. It is a quintessential part of my memories as a kid learning how to use a computer with my parents' Windows 3.1.1 Dell Desktop with all of the various whirring, clicking, and beeping sounds. It was a wonderful experience.
