I was in the Marines from 95-99. I worked Aviation supply as a UNIX administrator. I'm lucky to have learned something that carried into a career after I got out. I was a former Volunteer Firefighter/ EMT from 2007-2012. My knees couldn't take it, sonI had to quit being a firefighter. After that, I quit everything. I battled sever Depression for 12+ years. I gained over 100 pounds and lost all my confidence and lost sight of who I was as a person. In 2015 I wanted to kill myself. I decided to quit my job and move back to San Diego, the last place I remember truly being happy. It's been a long journey but I'm finally at a point where I have more happy days than sad. I haven't been in a relationship in forever, I Haven't even been on a date in over 7 years. I look forward and still doubt I'll ever be loved again. While the loneliness overwhelms me, I focus on other things including working out, eating right, trying to get back in shape. I'm all about sending positive vibes, and encouraging others. I hope you'll read this and have kind, encouraging words for me. Thanks for reading & getting to know this stranger on the interwebs

My doctor and nutritionist. I also have several friends who are trainers. I finally took them all very seriously

I’m more Human than Human now. I finally understand Rob Zombie. :) Quitting coffee was the hardest of everything, even pizza was easier

I’m only doing 3-5 miles so I really don’t right now. I set a goal to run a 1/2 marathon by next year. I’m thinking the longer runs I will

Basically followed Keto & walked everyday. Started with 1 mile a day, worked up to 5 miles. Now I jog 3x a week & walk the other days

I wish, I walked the Rock & Roll 5k that day. I struggled the entire way. Flat roads and I was dying. That walk changed my life forever

No better time to start than now. My only regret is not doing this earlier in life

Never quit, it’s worth all the struggles. Trust me, the food cravings go away. My only regret is not doing this sooner in life

Drink water, lots of water. Walk everyday. Take the stairs when you can. Don’t compare yourself to others, just be a better you everyday

Don’t give up!! You can do this! Find your “Why”. When your “why” is stronger than your excuses, you can not fail

He dated Olivia Wilde. I’ll take that as a huge compliment. Beats Drew Carey, which is what I normally got :)

Make small changes in your diet. Change one bad thing with something healthy. Only weigh yourself once a week, if that. Never quit!!

And never compare your journey to someone else’s. Only person you compete against is yourself, be a better you everyday
