Sorry I'm an abusive, toxic, draining, and narcissistic asshole. Ignore me and carry on.

in my case the loss of those i called friend is my own fault, for being an abusive, toxic, emotionally draining, and narcissist, asshole. i only came to fully understand years after the friend i cherished most had cut me away, for the bad wrong horrible monster i am. i hurt others emotionally, left them with burdens, and had simply forced myself to 'forget' the bad. for this i do not deserve to let others close again, and for this i can not forgive myself, for i must never let myself forget.

Have an HP Laserjet 1320, rescued from an office loading dock when they were going to toss it because it's onboard memory died... Cue a little PC-side memory emulation, and the thing's still ticking fine two decades later (and can accept aftermarket toner's just fine)

Having glanced around: artist 'Witchfiend' did a series of dinos (made from people) if that counts

#15 I answered the door for Jehovah witnesses once, my joints were acting up, so they got to hear the snap/crackle/pop of my joints shifting as I was opening the door. They never came back.

This! Adds an extra level of entertainment when you introduce new/custom monsters and the players actually start trying to figure out WHAT it is

Is this a bad time to mention the 200lb of gunpowder on my character sheet?

Recall with some cheese slice packs, with 'a new look', that whoever thought to obscure the upper half of the package didn't consider that didn't mean you couldn't *feel* the fact there wasn't any slices up there. Was same price as before, except the 'new look' pack also had two less slices despite the packaging being a little longer.

Many of the generic meat packs I've seen go out of their way to actually obscure your ability to SEE what's in the package. Welcome to "A Free and Healthy Market!™"

Aye, definitely a your mileage may vary, considering in the exact same area I was pulled over for tags being expired... because somehow that was more important then the car two ahead of me that had no license plate what so ever.

Remember asked a local cop about it, and general response for my area was "Not worth it for that alone, but it'd get added to citations if you do get pulled." (Because you can get citation removed here as long as you can present proof 'the mechanical fault has been resolved')

I still regret not keeping at least a few cards from my collection when I passed it to someone else, thought "well I don't play, so let someone who does have them!". Main one I miss is the 'Ancient Mew' promo card I got for going to see the movie, but not "pay 70$+ship&tax" miss.

My plan is simple if I run into a genie, Ask if they're willing to help me word what I want: if not? Well worst case scenario is it won't exactly be my problem anymore (it'd be everyone's problem)

Don't forget, some of these weapons also have production limits involved. When we were sending to ukraine it actually revealed a major logistical bottleneck that had gone unnoticed. IIRC the majority of our artillery shell production was a single WW2 era factory that had simply been retrofitted/modernized, with only a few smaller facilities supporting the option to produce.

I should clarify, someone had typed it on their machine and it was fine, I typed exact thing on their machine and had the same issue. Technology decided I was not allowed to do things that day. Sadly this curse has haunted me often during any sort of thing I work on.

My crowning achievement nearly had me (jokingly) thrown out of class while learning C++. It was a simple math function.

It also somehow caused a compiler error, that required rebooting the environment to clear. Someone else typed the exact same code, it worked fine. I typed the exact same code, compiler error requiring restart again. That day was not a good day for me.

I switched to trying to learn other languages.

Fairly sure it is... the only question is where the lessons are learned.

Unfortunately all to present near me, I swear some of these people could have their 'savior jesus christ' descend from the heavens before them, tell them they are wrong, and they would refute it's not the real jesus.

Instead, they sit there holding that statements on a podcast are somehow more valid than even the literal text of a law or executive order on what something says or means. Outright have tried to point out their own statements, and get called a liar and chewed out because how DARE I try to claim they said something they decided they didn't. Straight up been told "It's been proven the left is instigating the violence" while they assert "it's both sides" if I dare contradict them

I have been, bold to my face, told that the published data from the government is not a valid and trustworthy source. They then refused data from every single alternative source, EXCEPT for the single podcast and accompanying BLOGS that without a single reference claimed to have the "real facts". Nothing like when every single piece of evidence is wrong and I'm badwronghorrible for not accepting what they said, because they outright sit there skipping words in a sentence just to be 'right'.

The problems of a ship designed to accommodate for large species: when the designers put components high enough to require alternative-solutions for height-challenged species to reach.

I would love if there was a pastry shop near me, instead there's only the grocery store bakeries with the normal semi-shelf stable stuff, and a few independent cake/cookie shops. Some pastries just aren't the kind of thing you can readily make at home.
