A good game marred by unmatchable hype. Most of the complaints I've read about it are "HG didn't read my mind for this one thing I wanted".

It was a victim of practically unmatchable hype. Treat it like an indie game made by a dozen person (since it was), it's a great game.
These seem more like nit picky "Hello Games didn't read my mind and make the EXACT game I imagined" issues.
