That is a big ass fire whirl! Intense fire behavior and unstable pressure make these in wildfires, they are bad enough when they are small!

3/3 As for wildlife we have found that our threatened species prefer burned/rehabed areas. Fire helps the land and gives them habitat

2/3 (I lied about 2 parts, sue me) Fire also reduces invasive species and the mineral soil is enriched by the burnt plant life.

Cant speak for this exact fire. But where I burn it is a fire dependent ecosystem. The native species need fire to thrive. 1/2

My bad! Probably the same deal there as well since I assume there are licensing and tag fees. If not deer are still a great resource.

Hunters are our top environmentalists in the US. Whether they mean to or not, keep up the good work!

I lived in central NY so I got all your Canadian air blowing across lake Ontario and unleashing one last blast of snow. God bless snow days

Okay well yeah I mean that is the exception. I just played a couple games and I ended up changing last minute because of that crap haha

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It is. And changing it up to counter the enemy can be really fun and rewarding but really it's just a game so play who you wanna play

I don't think it's forgotten or ignored. Most just don't grasp it because it's not just given to you. It's something you gotta notice.

But I am not some kind of beaver expert. I study animals as a whole so I know some generalities but I'm just speculating for now

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Well I believe they actually have flaps that close their nostrils and ears to stop water from entering since they are a semiaquatic mammal

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I believe it's due to the very dense fur trapping a layer of air for insulation and some just escapes as it moves.
