This one is around 40 years old and a few of the seals were broken. Other than that I could hardly comment on reliability.
You could expect $75ish for a non working one. Repair kits are $28. I've seen them go anywhere from $100-700 in the past 2 weeks alone.
Dunhill Rollagas. They're all over ebay but you'll have to open up your wallet a bit.
The majority are plated. If it is a 14k gold housing it would be stamped on the bottom.
