This is your public profile. Hello your public profile, I'm dad.

The 1st one is needlessly hostile. That's like saying don't have a child id you're not willing to love a braindead vegetable you are legally obligated to keep alive. Uh, no. People assume their child will healthy and normal, that they won't need new age treatments to make better, or be encumbered by outlier circumstances.

That lead to war, why?

P.S: Even on the level of hunter-gatherer levels of tribalistic societies, even if you end up doing just 1 hour of work per day -- that's still something, if that's all that takes.
I can't be arsed to pull research on this, but I'll say this: the leading reason for old-people going decrypit, is because they "stop working", they stop "being active", and degenerate almost immediately.
Us as a species need to feel like "we are doing something", on whatever level.

Not quite what I was saying.
I'm saying this cutesy animation was more going for the idea of: "We should all live in leisure and do nothing", rather than what you were saying, that is: we should all work for something, anything. We should all strive to do something for ourselves and others.

By "you SHOULD work to live, to earn your keep", I meant that any healthy society is based on mutual contribution to each other, on whatever level. We cannot function pure hedonism.

Cheers, I'll give it a look.

Without having detailed revenue reports, it's hard to say, which is also why I am on the fence on: "Is AI even a plausible business plan, at all?"

Because it's entirely possible they are "losing" a shitton of money, as a company, because they won't stop expanding -- not because they don't charge normal rates, and because the maintenance costs are eating every single penny they have...

I can't really argue against that, but just that one of the major issues Israel currently has, is the "Atheists vs Religious sectors" thing, where the seculars justifiably claim that "without us there's no economy, no money, no nothing, but every single thing this government does is to take money away from us, and give it to those who do jackshit squat" --- Specifically because, indeed, the religious people are much more united, and are practically ordered by rabbis to vote together.

Remarkable show of wit. What a comeback. Really proving my point here.

The only reason I constantly roll my eyes at "news" like this, is that they try so hard to appear to have the moral high ground, yet it's always about Israel. I haven't seen any of these folks say anything or do anything for Syria who bombed their own citizens, or Iran who slaughters their protestors. It's always hyperfocus on "Israel bad." -- which might as well be true, but the fucking hyperboly. Auschwitz? Really? No bias or sensationalization there?

Because it's not a priority, not even remotely. It's the fever dream of a few madmen, at best.

"Taking control over the world" --A big hyperboly, unnecessary to the overall message of: "Doing a lot of bad shit, for money"

...OpenAI made 20B$ in 2025, so...There is a demand. They aren't losing money because nobody uses their service.

4 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 6

Isn't that wrong? Aren't AI companies losing money purely because they invest it back in expansion? I just searched for "openai revenue", and found an article in 2026 where they made 20B$ in 2025, but expect to burn through 17B$ in 2026. I didn't dig deep enough to find maintenance+GPU replacement rates and costs, though. Either way, they receieved 20B$ in 2025, there is a demand, here, unless the numbers are completely fudged.

He'd still be president and making decisions for other people, look at that other U.S politician that's like 90 years old, locks up mid speech, and needs his handlers to be walk him off stage....And he doesn't resign.

"People should not work to live" --that is objectively false and the moment anyone should stop taking that cutesy animation seriously, if they did. You should work to live, to earn your keep. It's just that you shouldn't be exploited like we are under capitalism.

No fucking kidding, after I saw that clip I audibly went "oh shit" and saved that vid for reference. It's one of those things you KNOW there has to be an exercise for, but feel it'd be too annoying to properly find, without "TOP 10 EXERCISES YOU MUST NFJDIS BEFORE YOU GAHZVDIA"

This is precisely what I do not get. that's a country where most people have firearms, and they are being openly murdered in plain sight. What more justification for a coup or civil war do you need? Why is there so much talking, and no doing?

reminds me that post about a uni student who was so baked during a geology test or w/e it was, he identified the rocks by licking them. And he aced the test.

I also wondered about that. Is someone going around finding these places for "content", or something more insidious?

My dad has a new car. That car has LED lights. When I drive with it, I use the fog-lights instead of the normal lights most of the time BECAUSE THE FOG LIGHTS ARE BRIGHT ENOUGH, and also don't blind people. It's crazy.

I mean, virtual machines is a thing...And a lot of real old games are playable on your browser, online. Try it out

Honestly, discs can last for over a decade or two if you don't use them every single day. It might actually be a really decent way to store data comfortably (creating a cheap NAS server / PC with a few TB of HDD is also an option, just more expensive)

For me, the worst thing about this thought experiment, is knowing I wouldn't be able to organically develop the same relationships with the friends I have, and the partner I now have. Fucking things up by being overly familiar, not giving time for things to develop, would mean you'd be in a new timeline with parasocial strangers, and see your lover with someone else...Because you can't remember all the steps it took to get you both to click.

If you want to trigger anxiety real easy, imagine going back 10 years. Can you fix many things in your life, invest in good stocks? Sure, sure...Can you make sure you'd develop the same cherished relationships you have now? Do you even remember how things naturally clicked with your partner, and how long it realistically took?
