Plenty of members of congress already have a bunch of stocks before they go into office. If they've already got stock, then they have insider information of something going down, they can sell that stock and screw everyone else (selling a bunch would plummet the price, so others selling would not get as much back). By banning buying and selling, it forces congress to not be allowed to do that (assuming the laws are enforced)

When I worked the drive thru at BK back in the early aughts, one night a car of like 3 women pulled up, and one said she just got her nipples pierced, then without hesitation showed me. As an 18 year old, it was a fantastic night to work drive thru
And do people not deserve basic needs, like food, shelter, water, etc?
