My mom studied to be an interpreter, so I know some. Unfortunately I am nowhere near fluent, but I'd like to be. It is an incredibly useful language to know, I am constantly dismayed that friends of mine can't communicate across a room or in loud spaces

Exactly what I was thinking. It's a good start, but men should be able to remember the staples they have in their own homes. I don't love that the viewpoint is "you're learning this so you can help a woman with her woman things" and not "learn to be independent and get the things you know you need for the household you live in with or without others." Any education is great but we do a huge disservice to boys when we link everyday chores with some nebulous future wife concept they must do it for

Several years ago my sister went to the ER in agony, unable to stand, throwing up, etc. Drs said "girls her age lie" and "are we *suuuuuure* she's not pregnant," wanted to send her home but we're lucky enough to have a mom who's able and willing to demand a different dr. Anyway she had appendicitis
