Late Gen X here, ‘79, European, though. I admit I think my almost completely tech free childhood was better than my son’s, who’s now 18, but not only because it was all about being outside with friends, but simply because those days WERE better, freer, less financially challenging and not to mention the famous tweet saying- prevailing opinion that Nazis are bad. Taught to us by the same boomers who now in the US vote Trump and here in Europe radical right parties.
And that is not a political preference, it’s who you are as a person. Political disagreement is what to spend tax payers’ money on, not whether people should be killed in the street because they fight for human rights
There was a tweet or something I’ve seen here saying something like- we can disagree and still be friends. Yes, but about stuff like pizza toppings, not about racism, nazism, homophobia and such

My kid is 18. He knows what a landline is and how to use it, what a tape is, burning CDs etc. Where do the others live, under a rock? I get that they all spend time on TikTok and so on, but still… do they live with parents who never talk to them about anything?
I’m not American, but in my European country the same party that has already given 20 cabinet members who were forced to leave due to corruption, DUIs, vehicular manslaughter (that trial is still going on) etc etc, keeps on winning the election. People who wouldn’t vote for them still stay at home because “all politicians and parties are the same”. That never changes. And it won’t. That’s why I have little hope Epstein files will remove the Orange Turd.

The other one is dr Adams, he met the latter while in prison, she got fired for listening to his (an inmate’s) idea on how to treat a patient and later came to work for him in PPTC.
