How many of their gofundme's did you donate too? Did you organize any protests outside their courthouses? Was there a social media blitz by men calling for their freedom and accusing their spouse of being the real killer? ....or have you misunderstood entirely why people are angry about Clancy and her followers?

I mean... yeah, but the constitution doesn't mention most of those. Just treason, bribery, and "other high crimes and misdemeanors." Not sure how those are defined, it might just be up to congress.

Honestly shocked how many people I've seen saying she deserves neither prison nor a mental institution and should just walk free.

My favorite part is how it refers to trans people as it/its. As in, "there's a new person at work who's trans. It sits right next to me." Blatantly dehumanizing language that I assume came from a troll, being spammed now by "allies."

"I got a raise this year, so the economy has actually broken even." Wild take.

I've seen a lot of those too, about him basically memory wiping her. My cheap conspiracy theory is that the social media response from both sides is some operation to drive a wedge between men and women in time for the midterms. Too many men shifted left, gotta convince more young guys that women and their issues are dumb/evil.

They don't typically get a million dollar fundraiser, solidarity protests, or a flood of encouragement on socials from other men though. That is the part angering some people.

This might be the cringiest thing I've read all week, not gonna lie. I served with plenty of Canadian 'hunters' in Afghanistan and while they were great guys I can assure you they were also quite ordinary and generally poorly equipped.

Apps are able to collect significantly more data than mobile sites, and imgur relies on selling this data for revenue as well as providing it to partners for targeted ads. Not surprising given their business choices lately.

Absolutely! I only know the background cuz I first saw the quote context-free too and was annoyed enough to look into it. Stendhal was alright, he doesn't deserve the crappy quote.

Look at all the angry people. For those wondering, this is a quote from a character in a novel, not the man. The words are spoken by a frustrated woman lamenting her circumstances. Stendhal himself is generally considered quite feminist for his time.

I only have one trans friend but their parents are totally chill about it, like it's not even a thing. They're really racist though, which feels like an odd mix of traits.

At the very high levels it's gendered so women can have a fair chance- the top ranked women are nowhere near the ELO of the top men. iirc the highest a woman has ever reached was 8th. It's nothing to do with intellect or anything, it boils down to how many men play as opposed to women. Sift through a bigger pool of candidates and you'll find more gems.

People talk about how imgur is dying

Gwen, might I ask, as a person- who are you? Do you have hobbies? You've become THE trans spam account

Americans on imgur are overwhelmingly anti Trump and his Greenland nonsense. Even among Republicans, a minority supported acquiring Greenland, even through peaceful means, even if it was 'sold' to the US. Not sure who you're talking to here.

Almost like she does porn and this is her shtick, considering her other recent contributions to the arts- "I'm bowling but oops here's my ass", and "I'm hitting a tennis ball but oops here's my ass."

The electoral system paints states as blue or red and ignores that 38% of California still wanted Trump and 42% of Texas wanted Kamala. No state is a monolith.

There is no record of any pirates wearing eye patches. They became a thing because of Treasure Island, which is the original source of a lot of fictional pirate tropes.

When i tell people I'm visiting my friends in America none of them think I'm going to Guyana or Canada.

This is kind of silly to post, especially with the "why not stop being a propagandist" line. This has become a fairly well researched topic in recent years with all the immigration focus. It's true that citizens are more likely to commit crimes than immigrants but it's not even twice as likely... these numbers are wrong on a cartoonish scale.

He has a job and he cares about his grandma, you could do worse. Just uh keep him away from power tools.

The extension is guessing. It uses dislike data from the people who have it installed and applies that ratio to the overall public 'like' count to create a dislike number.

Try and view the world as little less black and white, it'll help in the long run.

"Don't worry, the conservatives will protect us from the government" is a pretty wild take, imo. Whatever you're suggesting Trump will do, they just will not believe- especially given the anti-gun rhetoric from the other side. As for gun ownership among independents and liberals:

It goes back over 150 years with multiple proposals made, including one that Denmark only narrowly rejected. It's surprising how recent Denmark even got full sovereignty over the island, lots of interesting history with Norway there (and no consideration for the natives until VERY recently.)
