Don’t be afraid of moving around roots. Bonsai plants need it. You’ll eventually have to rake out the roots and trim them back to keep the plant healthy and not going root bound like traditional plant growing. If it wasn’t a root bound mess when you repotted it, pop it outside of its warm enough for some bright light.
How did Julia’s roots look and smell when you repotted her? I would pull Julia back out and check her roots to see if she is doing well below the surface. Any rot with either of their roots when you repotted them?
