Nobody should be the target of hatred, bigotry or any kind of oppression. Least of all from those believed to be allies. I didn’t realize this was much of an issue though. None of the people in my queer circle of friends has ever expressed anything other than support.That said, I do sometimes wonder if so closely associating gender identity with sexuality is actually helping the trans community more than harming.

Fair enough, but how many times are you going to listen to your favorite song on a given album? You might hit 5000 sooner than you think. And it could have multiple songs that you want to play regularly. According to these figures, the $ an artist could make for an album over a fan’s lifetime is potentially far more than physical media. They typically don’t continue to make $ on the same album (from an individual fan) unless a new format comes along or it’s an anniversary remaster or something.
