A self-published author from (you guessed it) Maine. Expect a lot of nature posts from me because there's a lot of it around here. I've got a few series being released serially for free right now! Under a Pirate Flag is a swashbuckling tale that follows an expert thief, a naive monk, a cursed blacksmith and a harried bureaucrat as they get swept up in the vendetta of the pirate captain Headless Bill against the Grand Admiral Azun. A Foul Light Shines is the novelization of a D&D game I ran a few years ago. In it I subject my party to Flesh Abominations, Secret Police, Cryptic Last Words and Terrifying Goblin Traditions. Both can be found for free on Campfire and Royal Road. https://www.royalroad.com/profile/370032/fictions https://www.campfirewriting.com/user/Hexonym

To be president you have to be born as an American citizen, which means you're either born on American soil or at least one of your parents is an American citizen. That's why all the Obama birther stuff was bullshit. His mother was an American citizen, so he was always eligible to run no matter where he was born.

Did anyone else hear Yakety Sax when they saw this?

I gotten a few chances to ask mailcarriers what they think of the new designs and they all love them. Better ergonomics, heat/AC and they handle well in bad weather. I love these goofy looking trucks too!

Consulates are like a mini-embassy, they're not there to do high level diplomacy, but help citizens of their country interact with the local government and economy. It's not unusual to have them in smaller cities, there's a German Consulate in Portland ME. As for why there's an Ecuadoran Consulate in Minneapolis I'm not sure, it could be that Ecuador does a lot of business with that area of the country so they have officials there.

Fullmetal Alchemist is one of the best stories I've ever enjoyed. It has comedy, drama, tragedy, action, and great characters all in equal measure. I'd say the manga is the best way to enjoy it, but if you'd prefer to watch get the Brotherhood version. The first fifth of the story feels a little rushed, but once you get past that it's perfection.

You know, I needed NPCs for my D&D campaign, these will do nicely.

Those could have been my last words.

I was actually worried when I first saw the smaller ones, I didn't know if they would be aggressive near young. But as you saw, they were pretty chill.

That would make sense, my knowledge of local wasp ecology is rather limited, so I'm in the dark.

Started reading the Legend of Drizzt two summers ago, now I'm in the home stretch!

Yeah, I had pallets all set up for that measurement. I either suck at stacking or they delivered more than a cord. I had to kludge an extra platform with some waste wood I had.

That's pretty sweet. I got mine for a landscaping company for around 300. I have an indoor fireplace and it's nice when we lose power, but it's mostly for ambience when I'm reading or some occasional cooking.

Thanks! I was half expecting someone to tell me I had stacked wrong and it was in imminent danger of spontaneously combusting.

Updates are slow, but OotS is one of three webcomics I still check every day. I still consider it one of the best stories I've ever read.

Grimtooth's Traps was an awesome book. I had a PDF of it and I used it for a very nasty dungeon. I hyped it up so much the players spent half an hour examining a tripwire at the front door.

It's on my list, I'm trying to get through the whole Legend of Drizzt before I start on anything new.

Crossing the Evermoors in Streams of Silver is still one of my favorite parts of the Legend of Drizzt. I just wrapped up Night of the Hunter, only 11 books to go!

Freya will just lay on the bed and stare forlornly out the door at Ember when its too cold for her.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Freya is a menace with her tail. Every now and then I'll get woken up by her tail banging into something and knocking it over.

Ember still barks at me when I come into the house, even though I've known her her whole life. Her tail is wagging the whole time though.

Ember will run away when you try to bring her in on a cold day.
