It's the most corrupt, depraved, insane administration in US history, and instead of believing that some opposition force will do anything about it, all we can hope for is that their own supporters will turn on them, which they won't because money and idiocy. What a wonderful political landscape we have.

I use semicolons and em dashes all the time, but seeing as how they're increasingly associated with AI, I'm not surprised younger writers don't use them. I may have to stop using them as well.
